I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialties in human sexuality and analytic group therapy. I received my Master of Science degree from the Family Therapy Training Program at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. During my training, I worked at Highland Family Medicine and at the family therapy clinic at Strong Hospital. I was trained in multiple family therapy approaches and have sought additional formal instruction in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Modern Analytic group therapy.
I began working as a college counselor at Alfred University in 2011, providing therapy services to a diverse range of students struggling with depression & anxiety, sexual orientation & identity concerns, grief and loss, family conflict, acute & past trauma, life transitions and creative crises among other concerns. During this time I worked closely with psychiatric medicine providers, and developed an understanding of different psychopharmacological medications. I opened my private practice in 2014 shortly before transitioning away from the college setting. While I don’t prescribe medication myself, I’m happy to collaborate with your prescriber if you do take medication or are interested in exploring the possibility.

Before receiving my MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I spent many years working in the creative arts. A common concern among my peers was limited access to therapists who could relate to unusual life experiences or "outsider" perspectives. As a result, I am additionally interested in offering safe and effective assistance to those who feel set apart from dominant cultural mores and narratives.
